The Way to Generate a Christening Candle
A baby’s christening is a significant event for many households. Traditionally dressed in a long gown, the baby is christened to the family community for approval. In some churches, there is a candle lit during the service, although other families like a candle that is decorative like a keepsake but maybe not lit during the festivities. A beginner can create a cheap and distinctive christening candle for infant’s first celebration.
Cut. Center fold the edges of the tissue paper and the tissue paper on top of the card stock. The tissue paper in place with strips of tape that was removable positioned along its edges to the backside of the card stock.
A photograph of the baby sized into the candle diameter onto the tissue paper with an inkjet printer. Include text with the name and dates of the infant. Set aside and allow the ink to dry.
By dispersing newspapers, prepare a work surface. Gather your equipment.
After it’s dried lay the image face down on your work surface, and peel off the tape from the card stock. Lift the tissue from the card stock taking care not to wrinkle the tissue. Trim around the outline of the image with scissors. Cut as close to the picture’s outline .
Lay the pillar candle down in front of you. Until you’re pleased with the way it seems arrange the image on the front of the candle. Smooth it.
Cut a piece of wax paper that is bigger than the front of your own candle. Place it wax side down on top of the image. It ought to make contact with the surface of candle and your own image. Insert the tip of a little sewing pin into each corner of the paper to temporarily fasten it.
Hold a heat gun or hair dryer a couple inches from the candle, while creating back and forth motions to heat the paper. This transfers the wax from the newspaper onto the image. The thin coating of wax on top of the tissue paper gives the appearance that the image is embedded in the candle.
Remove the pins and peel off the paper from the candle gently although it is warm. Repeat Step 7 with a fresh piece of paper if there are places that are not covered by wax. If pinholes are observable, use the heat gun to smooth them till they disappear.
