This swan ladle is made of teak wood from managed forests via a chemical-free process. It reminds me of some wooden spoons that I inherited from my grandma. With appropriate care, it would last for generations.

I’d gladly put my sugar and spices on screen in such acacia wood and glass canisters from Crate&Barrel. These are just the storage containers I have been hunting for.

The plan of the whisk, made of plastic and bamboo, was inspired by the stunning silhouette of this Italian cypress tree. It does kind of remind me!


Parson’s Reclaimed Wood Top Dining Table With Natural Black Steel Base – $1,349

The traditional lines of the table appeal to me, as does the fact that the handcrafted wooden boards are manufactured from reclaimed hardwoods sourced from older ranches, bridges, wharves and even World War II military buildings. It’d make a gorgeous backdrop for my food photos.

This reissue of George Nelson’s 1961 tray is a stunner. The wooden veneers that create the starburst are made of walnut and santos palisander wood. It is a statement piece that comes with a statement price, but it was made to last for many, many years.
